First boil your water and pour in two packages of pasta. I like Barilla’s Whole Wheat Ziti or Penne pasta as this serves my husband and I just fine and leaves us with some leftovers. Then add Italian Seasoning to the mix of water and noodles to blend in the flavor (teaspoon to a tablespoon, depending on how tangy you want it). During this time you can either throw your frozen chicken strips into the oven to prebake or if you’re short on time, add these to the water as well (as they’re already fully cooked).
After 10 minutes, remove from heat and drain water. If you cooked your chicken in the oven, add cooked chicken into pot with noodles. Take 1/8 cup of soft margerine and stir into mix. Add 1/8-1/4 cup of olive oil (again your desired taste level), and finally add 1/8 cup of parmesan/romano cheese and stir in as well. 3
Finally pour your concoction into a baking pan (don’t forget to use cooking spray on bottom of pan so noodles don’t stick). Top with one package of your favorite shredded cheese. If you love cheese, feel free to sprinkle more parmesan/romano cheese over your pasta dish. You may also like to sprinkle bread crumbs over the dish, but this is a desired optional ingredient. Throw into oven at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
