Almonds are one of the best possible nuts that you can ever eat. A serving size is one-quarter of a cup. The calories in that serving are 205, 7.62 grams of protein, and only 6 grams of carbohydrates. For fat content, there is 18.23 grams of fat total. Broken down, that is just 1.40 grams of saturated fat, 11.61 grams of monounsaturated fats, and polunsaturated fat totals 4.36 grams. So most of this nut consists of good fats.

One of the main nutrients found in almonds is manganese. Manganese in almonds amounts to 0.90 milligrams in a serving size. Manganese plays a big role in helping us to absorb the nutrients of thiamin and biotin in the body, both of which are amino acids.

Phosphorus along with magnesium is also part of these nuts. Phosphorus is what helps our bodies to process the stored calcium, and magnesium not only strengthens bones, but also regulates blood pressure, and nerve health too. Almonds in a serving contain 98.67 milligrams of magnesium, and 168.70 milligrams of phosphorus.

If you could use some more of vitamin E, almonds have 8.97 milligrams in a serving size. Vitamin E is what helps hair health, protects the skin from UV rays, and another thing this vitamin also supports is your red blood cell health.

Copper is within almonds too at 0.40 milligrams a serving. Copper plays quite a role in order to help the blood cells form hemoglobin and it also supports thyroid functions and collagen production in the bones. Collagen is very much needed in order to make the bones much stronger.

Folate is another type of B vitamin which is a water-soluble one.
