- 4 snap lock loom corner pieces
- Four oz 4-ply Acrylic knitting yarn (pick 3 colors)
- color 1-2 skeins
- color 2-3 skeins
- color 3-1 skein
- 2 yards 3/8 ribbon that matches color 3
You will need to use the star pattern: use 3 layers of yarn in lacing direction(12 layers total)
Put together 4 corner pieces(602) and you will now have a square loom. With color 1 lace your loom with the star pattern, then use some of your color 1 to tie the stars in.
Make 4 squares in color 1 tied with color 1. Make 14 small squares in color 2 tied with color 3
How to Assemble hooded sweater: put 2 squares of color 1 together and put a square of color 2 on each side. attach them with an overcast stitch. Sew yarn ends back into overcast stitch to hide your loose ends.
Pick 2 squares of color 2 and attach them to your previous color 1 blocks that you sewed together. reinforce your stitches by going over your previous overcast stitches. You have completed the back of the sweater.
to make the front of the sweater pick up 4 squares of color 2 and 2 of color 1. lay them out and overcast stitches them together. the right front section will consist of a 2 color 2s and a color 1. the same goes for the other side.
Join the front and back sections together at shoulder seams.
when you have finished joining those together you will fold the sweater so that you can join the sweater at the sides and underarms.
Assemble the hood: join 4 squares together in a t pattern. three on the bottom and 1 on the top. when you have made that pattern join the one on the top to the sides so it makes a hood.
Attach hood to sweater via shoulder seams. Next you will attach your ribbon. Cut a 30′ length of ribbon, weave it in and out of star pattern around front of hood. Cut 6′ tail and attach it to each end.
