Do you need to get away and relax and recharge or do you seek excitement and adventure? Try Tybee Island, Georgia.

I have found over the years that each area of the island is so different.   So whether you book your vacation rental on the south end, mid island, or north end, you will have a different experience.  The north end of the island provides the light house and Ft. Screven museums and close views of ships traveling in and out of the Savannah River.  My favorite area is the mid-island area where you get a great view.  At low tide, sand dollars and starfish can be found on the southern end of the island at low tide.

Tybee Island provides great restaurants!  No matter what your budget or taste.  You can select from pizza and fast foods to seafood and gourmet meals.  The island has one grocery store.  So if you decide to grill out, you can pick up a few steaks at the local island IGA store. More information and photos can be viewed at  http://tybee.synthasite.com/

The small island offers a wide variety of water sports: surfing, jet ski, parasailing, fishing, boating, etc.

Unique stores for your shopping please with prices ranging from inexpensive souvenirs to wonderful local art work.

Pirate legends are part of the history of this island.  Who knows, you can be fortunate enough to locate pirate buried treasure!  Tybee offers an annual Pirate Fest Celebration. Dress up in your best pirate outfit and join the celebration!
