How to Delete History in Internet Explorer.

The first way to clear history – The Slowest Method

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Cilck “Tools”.

  3. Scroll Down to “Internet Options” and click it.

  4. Another, smaller, window should open. Click the “General” tab if it is not already there.

  5. Under the “Browsing History” heading in the ‘General” Tab. Click “Delete…”.

  6. Another small window should open titled “Delete Browsing History”. Click all the options you want to delete and click “Delete” at the bottom of the window.

  7. That window will close. Another small window will open showing you the process of your browsing history deletion. When the process is done it will close.

The second way to clear history- Faster than the first.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Press CTRL + H.

  3. A side-bar should popup. Click the “History” tab if it isn’t there already.

  4. Click the dropdown menu under the word history in the side-bar.

  5. In the dropdown menu click “View By Date”.

  6. Now, under that dropdown menu, there should be headings (Today, Yesterday, 1 Week Ago, 2 Weeks Ago, 3 Weeks Ago, etc). If you click these headings you will see the websites you visited on that day. To delete, right click the days, weeks, months, etc that you want to delete and click delete.

The third and fastest way to clear history.

  1. Open internet explorer.

  2. Press CTRL + SHIFT + DEL.

  3. A window titled delete browsing history will pop up.

  4. Choose the settings you wish to delete.

  5. Click “Delete”.

Browse the internet without saving any history.

  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. Click “Tools”

  3. Cick “InPrivate Browsing”

  4. A new window will open. This is called an InPrivate Browser. The InPrivate Browser will not store history while you view web pages on it.

Tips:

  • To quickly open an InPrivate window, open Internet Explorer and press CTRL + SHIFT + P.
