Do not let the name fool you this is a Mexican restaurant and bar

Cadillac Bar doubles up as a Mexican restaurant, which one might not think right away due to the name but it does offer Mexican food with some Tex-Mex flavor to it, of course you can enjoy the atmosphere of a bar with loud music too.

The outside of the restaurant is very festive with bright lights and palm trees and inside you get the same atmosphere.

For their antojitos go with the ceviche, if you are a seafood lover, which has different fish in lime juice, topped with pico de gallo and avocado for $9.49, or their tamales which arepork tamales topped with chili, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese for $6.99. One can accompany the meal with one of their margarita such as one of their flavored one like the amaretto, melon, peach or raspberry for $5.95

For the house specials order the cabrito where you can have it either al pastor which is roasted oral Horno with honey-ancho pepper BBQ sauce for $29.99 and this is a good plate to share, or the carnitas Guadalajara which come sautéed, with onions, roasted jalapeños and cilantro for $14.99.

Other great meals on the menu to try are the Cadillac burrito which is flour tortilla stuffed with ground beef, refried beans, guacamole, Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese, tomatoes and shredded lettuce, topped with queso and sour cream for $11.99 this is for the starved! Or themole chicken enchiladaschicken which comes topped with the homemade mole sauce, onions and Cotija cheese for $13.99.

Do not forget dessert though, Cadillac has different nice choices such as the sopapilla sundae which is a puff pastries with cinnamon-sugar, topped with ice cream caramel and chocolate sauce for $6.99 or the chocoflan a flan that tastes like chocolate or the mouth watering chocolate raspberry chipotle cake which is moist, dark chocolate cake with raspberry preserves and a hint of chipotle, served with fresh berries for $5.99

This restaurant is located at 1-10 and Shepherd and the hours of operations are from Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. but the bar remains open until midnight and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. which starts out with brunch.
