“peepli Live” is a Good Movie

Ballyhood superstar, Amir Khan Production is always a thing to watch for, and this time also the perfectionist is back with a different story called Peepli Live. ‘Peepli Live’ has been released on 13th August 2010, all over India, and some parts of the world.
The script of the film is based on the farmer’s suicides and subsequent media and political response.
The film tells the story of Natha a farmer in North India. Natha is about to lose his precious land due to an unpaid government load. He finds the remedy in the same government programme that aids the families of indebted farmers who have committed suicide. As a survival option, Natha has to commit suicide. This becomes instant news and people from the political, bureaucrats, media descend upon the village to stake their claim.
Debutant director Anusha Rizvi directed the film. Omkar Das Manikpuri plays the role of Natha. Malaika Shenoy, Raghubir Yadav, Shalini Vatsa, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Farrukh Jaffer, Vishal Sharma and Naseeruddin Shah play prominent roles in the film. The film has been produced by Aamir Khan.
Really it is a good movie; moreover theme of the movie is excellent. The script talks about the serious problems faced by Indian farming fraternity. It’s an extremely serious movie. But, people may laugh because of the way it has been presented. At the end of the movie, the laugh will not go easy on you, at the same time you will also feel the pinch. It takes pot shots at politicians, bureaucrats, and the media.
Even though, the issue is universal, Director she shoot the film in Madhya Pradesh. It may not be change the state of Indian farmers who were killing themselves due to poverty. But, it is sending a good message.
In the film, Mukhya Pradesh is a fictitious state and Peepli is a fictitious village, and the whole story is rolling around it. Even for the police uniform is not used from any state of India. Up course, it is a good movie for Aamir Khan’s fans.
‘Peepli Live’ was already exhibited in the Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin Film Festival, and response was good from international film circuit. It also bagged the best first feature film award at the 31st Durban International Film Festival.
