The ingredients consist of an egg or two, two pieces of bread, butter, and a frying pan.
You can use any kind of bread like wheat, white, sourdough, what ever.
I advise changing up your bread choice until you find the one flavor that melts in your mouth.
You can use olive oil in place of butter, or margarine.
Start by taking out a quarter size section of bread out of the middle of your bread.This way when you place your egg on the bread the egg will stay on the bread.
Next butter your toast on one side only and place the butter side down in the pan.
Crack your eggs over the toast as the picture shows.
At this time you can decide if you want your eggs well done, medium or soft.
Turn your eggs over and cook for your desired taste. Insure the toast is not burnt but just the way you like them.
I have never seen this breakfast recipe offered at any restaurant in my entire life. If anyone out there has, please let me know and what state was it served in.
As kids my brothers and sister ate this all the time. Take a look at the finished cooked meal.
I add some pepper and salt with some fresh fruit or bacon and sausage.
