Is There Hope?
Hope. Everyone lives in hope. People live in hope even if they can not visualize exactly what they are hoping for. Hope drives us to be motivated to do something. The hopes of people who belongs to the upper class might be different from that of those people who belongs to the middle or lower class. Our attitudes, income, health age, attainment, experiences, status of living, circumstances all affect our hopes- and also our understanding in life.
There are two personalities of the same age and having the same work but living in similar circumstances. One personality
has a positive outlook in life, is trusting and full of hope. While the other personality sees life darkened by gloomy clouds and many times feel hopeless. The first builds his life on the foundation-hope. The other has only hopes that appear less realistic as life goes on, and, when disappointed, lead to disillusionment.
There are lots of hopeless people in this world with several factors affecting their lives. Whatever would be the factors affecting hopelessness, the only solution to be hopeful is to have Christ in their lives. God is faithful to his promises. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Christian people make themselves busy in serving God, doing things according to the will of God hoping to have an aternal life. “…. so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:7). Their hopes renew the strength they need in everyday living. “….but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint ( Isaiah 40:31).
To be hopeful always, whatever would be the circumstances, let Christ be the center in our living so that we will not experience emptiness that sometimes satisfied by material prosperity.
