There is a vast amount of accommodation available on the Island of Tenerife whether it be for holiday use or permanent living.
The most popular being self catering apartments, as well as the full range of ‘Starred Hotel’s’,
These are found mostly in the busy tourist areas, as you would expect, they are ideal situated so that you have everything you need when on holiday.
What is not so well known, is that there is a good amount of high quality ‘Rural Hotels’ which can be found in a large number of the villages of Tenerife, these ‘Rural Hotel’s’ offer you an alternative to the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas.
They are ideal for those who like to explore the Island more, and get to know the ‘Real Tenerife’.
Let’s face it, no matter where you stay on an Island that is approx 40 miles x 70 miles, you are never far from anywhere.
Another kind of accommodation to consider is ‘Bed and Breakfast’, there are not a lot of them, but they are worth looking at. I am talking of the B&B as you know them in England, homely and comfortable not a one night stay in an apartment.
B&B on the Island of Tenerife can be found in some villages and in some of the not so busy coastal resorts, they are ideal if you are spending the winter months there and just want to explore a different part of the island. If you enjoy walking, hiking they can fit in well with your walks and you only need stay for one night and then be on your way, where as a lot of the other types of accommodation have a three night minimum stay.
