Where many people fail with PLR articles is they don’t take the necessary time to make the article original. Many people think it is the lazy man’s way to content, but this mind frame can lead to a number of disasterous events such as destroying credibility, losing loyal readers, drastically decreasing traffic, and can cause you to lose out on a lot of money in the process. So I am going to teach you how I take PLR articles (regardless of age) and turn them into orignal pieces of content with double the value.
STEP 1 – Yank Out the Skeleton without Snapping the Spine
When you make the decision to use a PLR article to produce your own original content you have to understand that you are not the only person using that content. And since you have no clue how other people have used that content it is important that you put in the effort to make it completely original. If you don’t then you may get penalized for publishing duplicate content online and it can crush every bit of creadibility that you have built up.
So allow me to explain the skeleton and the spine…
The skeleton of your article is made up of the main idea and the hard facts that can be found throughout your article. Now the main idea is considered the spine, because that is the focus of your article and you don’t want to stray away from that. In extracting your facts, you want to make sure that your main idea remains the same just presented in a different way. This is the foundation of your article so you need to make sure your facts are strong. Sometimes it may require you to do some research on your own to make sure that they are strong.
STEP 2 – Now It’s Time to Trim Any Fat That’s Left
The fat of your article is all of the unnecessary parts that you need to get rid of. Even after you pull out the facts you may still have information that is irrelevant, out dated, or just doesn’t fit and that’s what you want to trim off. Some important areas includes anything that sounds like an opinion, a personal reference, personal experiences, or thoughts. The reason why you would want to get rid of these items is because they are traces of the original author, and you want to make your new article unique to you.
STEP 3 – Time to Build Up Those Muscles
The muscles of your article is any quality content that you add to your article. This can be additional facts, resources, tools, or anything else that your readers can use or benefit from. This should be what the bulk of your article is made of. This is what makes a quality article that is of great value to your readers. What I like to do is create little tips and tricks that my readers can apply themselves and most of the time, that is what makes up my articles.
STEP 4 – Let’s Add the Heartbeat to Your Article
The heartbeat of your article is your keywords. If you are publishing your articles online without using keywords your articles is going to flatline. So you need to do the proper research in order to find out which popular keywords you should include in your article. You don’t have to spend a lot of time doing this, in fact I only spend about five minutes doing this with the Traffic Travis software.
STEP 5 – Breathe Life into Your Article
Now here is the fun part. Breathing life into your article is just all of the things that make the article unique to you. If you have a funny sense of humor, then relate a joke to the information. Tell a good story that your readers can relate to and use to get the most out of your information. Share personal experiences that shows the reader that you know what they are going through. And the list goes on! Just do whatever you feel necessary in order to make the content unique to you rather than the original author.
And that’s how I put together quality content using PLR articles. It doesn’t matter how old the PLR articles that you are using are, you can always use these steps and turn them into valuable pieces of content. Just understand that there are some articles that may need a little more work than others, but nonetheless the job can be done.
