Background

La Madeleine’s first location was a bakery in Dallas, Texas, and was opened by Patrick Leon Esquerrè.  La Madeleine has expanded to include a cafe and has over 60 locations.  This review covers the location at 6140 Camp Bowie Blvd. Fort Worth, Texas 76116.  If you want to eat French food or visit a French bakery in Fort Worth, this is the place!

Fort Worth’s Location

Upon entering La Madeleine, you are greeted with a bakery.  The bakery offers croissants, cookies, tarts, and a variety of breads and pastries.  All of these items are made fresh daily.  Staff on hand can easily explain their processes and ingredients if you inquire.  In over 10 years of dining with La Madeleine in, I found the staff at the Fort Worth location to be knowledgeable and friendly.  Not once I have received an order that was incorrect.  This review rates the La Madeleine staff a 10 out of 10!

La Madeleine is divided into a couple of rooms, or you may choose to eat outside.  The atmosphere is very welcoming.  Tables are well spaced so you will be able to navigate between them easily if you are dining in during a busy time.  Fort Worth is a busy place, and La Madeleine is moderately busy even on weekdays during the dinner hours.  It will be especially busy on weekends during the breakfast hours.  If you aren’t interested in dining out, La Madeleine offers take out orders which can be placed online.  The online ordering was only recently added and is very simple to use.  If you choose, you may still phone in your order.

La Madeleine’s Menu Reviewed

La Madeleine’s menu covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Breakfast covers French dining traditionally and has eggs, toast, crepes, and omelets.  Lunch items include fresh made soups, salads, hot or cold sandwiches, quiches, and pastas.  Dinner choices include chicken and beef crepes.  My personal favorite is the chicken crepe which is made with garlic, broccoli, tomatoes, and a creamy pesto sauce.  In addition to offering a bakery, dine in, and carry out services, La Madeleine also offers party Trays.  Party Trays include breakfast platters, boxed lunches, sandwich platters, and salads.
