Eczema can accure at any age. When its your baby’s that have it it breaks your heart. I have followed the advice of my dermatologist only to discover that it was a constant battle with the skin rashes and irration. I used to cry seeing their skin and knowing how irrating and and itchy it was for them.
I wash my hcildren clothes in All Free and Clear. No dyes and no perfumes. I also use the Bounce Free that has no perfumes. Double rinsing their clothes to make sure that they are rinsed well is important. Remember that if your children are young they also sit in your lap and rub against you so make sure you wash your clothes in the same detergent. Remember to include blankets and towels too.
Give baths in luke warm and don’t let them spend no more than 10-15 minutes in there. Try to be careful about the soap that you use. FInding soap with no perfumes and no dyes. I personaly use the Aveeno baby. I only bathe them 3x’s a week to allow the natural oils in their skin time to arrise.
I’ve tried many baby eczema cream’s and Hydrocortizone with steriod’s. A lot of the stuff that I tried still left their skin dry and irrated. The cream with steriod also discolors the skin and we all know that this doesn’t look good. Upon doing some research in the past three weeks I came across a wonderful product that cleared their skin within 3 days. NO Kidding! I can’t tell you how happy I am that finally my battle with infant eczema is over.
The name of the cream is called TriDerma Md. Eczema Fast Healing For face and Body. mostly available on line at Babies R US and other places. I did find it at Walgreens and let me tell you its not cheap but well worth the $15 I paid for it. There is another line in the product that is specifically for use with babies and this is only available on line at Babies R US and at Target. Get the cream and try it out. I promise you will be glad you did. If you want to ask me any questions or if you want to leave me a comment and let me know how it worked for you I’d love to hear from you.
