Honey Granola Recipe

There are so many ways to eat granola. You can eat it by the handfuls, in bars, with milk as a cereal or over yogurt, cottage cheese or ice cream! Those are just a few of the ways.

This is a great recipe for granola. If you would like to make it into bars, you can form it into bars before you bake it.

Honey Granola Recipe:

6 cups rolled oats

3/4 cup flaked coconut

3/4 cup slivered almonds

1 cup honey

1/3 cup oil

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350*.
Line a cookie sheet with no-stick foil.
In a large bowl, combine oats, coconut and nuts. Mix.
In another bowl combine honey, oil and vanilla.
Pour over oat mixture and stir until coated.
Spread over prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes, stirring often.
Let cool and break into pieces.
Stir in raisins.
Store in an air-tight container.

In addition to eating honey granola as a cereal or snack, you can bake with it as well. Use it as an ingredient in muffins or cookies.

If you do not care for raisins, they can be left our or you can substitute dates in their place!
