Walnut Pie Recipe

This walnut pie is similar to pecan pie! There are only 9 ingredients to this pie recipe and that includes the pie crust!

Walnut pie is great for family gatherings during the Christmas season. This would also be great to make as one of your Thanksgiving pies.

Walnut Pie

2 eggs

1 cup corn syrup

1 tsp vanilla

1 tbsp melted butter

1/2 cup sugar

2 tbsp flour

Dash of salt

1 cup walnuts, finely chopped

1 pie crust, unbaked

Preheat oven to 375*

Combine eggs, syrup, vanilla and butter and mix well.

In a separate bowl add, sugar, flour and salt.

Add dry mixture to wet mixture. Stir until combined.

Add walnuts and stir.

Pour into pie crust and bake for 40-50 minutes or until center of pie is set.

Refrigerate at least 4 hours,overnight is best!

* Tip: You can always test if your pie is done by inserting a butter knife into the center. If it comes out clean the pie is done. If it comes out wet, bake for an additional 5 minutes until it is done.
