Milkshake Without Milk

We all tend use a lot of milk in our foods and drinks. Why? Maybe because it’s easy to make something alimentary and tasteful with milk. But there is so much more to do when working without milk. In this article we will talk about how to make milkshakes without milk. Both recipes are for 2 persons. For 4 persons you can just double the ingredients. Preparation requests a blender but you can use a cup + mixer ass well.

Strawberry milkshake


  • 250 gram strawberry

  • 250 gram soya ice cream

  • some water


  1. Clean the strawberries, unplug them and then put them in the blender.

  2. Add the soya ice cream. Add a bit water.

  3. Start blending.

  4. If the blender has difficulties blending or if the milkshake is to thick to your wish, add some more water.

  5. Find a second person or have a huge portion your own!

Banana milkshake


  • 1 banana

  • 250 gram soya ice cream

  • some water

  • nutmeg

  • 1/2 citron


  1. Cut the banana in pieces.

  2. Throw it in the blender together with the soya ice cream.

  3. Add some water. Rasp the nutmeg above the blender (1/4 nutmeg should do).

  4. Squeeze out the 1/2 citron above the blender.

Notice we made our milkshake without adding sugar. We did this because the fruit and the soya ice cream are sweet enough to have a delicious tasting milkshake without milk.


  • Adjust it to your needs. While this basic recipe will give you a very good milkshake without milk, it can’t be perfect for everybody. Add some more or less water, change the amount of fruit, … 

  • Put on a shake song like “Whole lotta shakin’ going on” from Jerry Lee Lewis. 

  • Don’t be disappointed if it isn’t perfect from the very first time. All great milkshake without milk makers have tried and have known good, better and best shakes. Also don’t forget that each atmosphere may require a bit of a different approach of the milkshake without milk, so be prepared to respond to that.
