If you have ever suffered from hemorrhoids you will know that is nothing to be laughed at. It may sound funny if it was no happening to you but it can be very painful to the person that is suffering from it. This complaint can affect your daily life and leave you feeling uncomfortable and irritable all day long. But there are a few things that you could do to help alleviate this problem and I will enlighten you as to what they are if you allow me to!

The main causes of hemorrhoids stems from unhealthy bowel complaints such as constipation or even diarrhea. I you have had any of these complaints then it is possible that you could get hemorrhoids. Being overweight can sometimes play a part in contracting hemorrhoids too.  One way to prevent the contracting of hemorrhoids can be to change or alter your diet. If you eat a lot of fatty foods then I suggest that you either cut down or give them up completely. You could try to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables. You could also take in more wholegrain or fiber in your diet. Also try to drink more water, about 8 to 10 glasses each day should be sufficient. By doing these things you may find that your bowel movements get softer in time and this can lead to the hemorrhoids being less irritated and eventually clearing up.

Another effective treatment for hemorrhoids can be a nice warm bath believe it or not. This is because the hot water will soothe the pain and the itching that can occur with hemorrhoids. By increasing the blood flow to the area around the anus, which tends to occur in hot baths this will ease the hemorrhoids considerably.

You often get a lot of itching when you contract hemorrhoids but if possible you should try to resist the urge to scratch them. Scratching can irritate the soft skin around the anus and this can lead to further problems. You can find a wide variety of hemorrhoid creams that should help to alleviate the itching. Witch Hazel has also been found to help the swelling in some cases of hemorrhoids. Another treatment for hemorrhoids that people rarely know about is to reduce your intake of salt. Salt is a good retainer of fluids and this can induce swelling sometimes.

So in conclusion if you or anybody that you know suffers from this complaint, why not take a look at the tips I have mentioned and see if you can get rid of this annoying problem once and for al.
