Honey butter is very easy to make. This recipe includes just a touch of cinnamon to give it an extra zip. This makes a great Christmas gift. In addition to making this recipe to give as a gift, you can also make it for yourself. Honey butter makes a great Holiday treat!
Honey butter can be used on a variety of dishes, including but not limited to: Pancakes, biscuits, toast, oatmeal and sweet breads.
1 stick of butter, room temperature
2-4 tsp honey, to taste
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp sugar
In a bowl combine all ingredients together. Stir until combined.
If you are making this for yourself, store it in an airtight container and refrigerate.
If you are making as a gift:
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.
Spoon butter mixture onto a piece of parchment paper and roll it up.
Wrap package with colored plastic wrap and tie each end with a ribbon.
Attach card to ribbon.
Refrigerate until ready to give away.
You can variate this gift by: wrapping parchment paper roll with a reed mat that can be found in Asian markets. A reed mat is usually used to roll a sushi roll. Tie a ribbon around the mat and give as gift.
