Facebook Review

I have been a Facebook member for a long time. I was skeptical at first, as the only time I had seen Facebook, I hated it. I was a happy Myspace member who didn’t want to change. Most of my friends were talking about Facebook all the time. This went on for a while before I decided to create a profile. I intended to use it only when Myspace was boring, but after only one log on, I stayed with Facebook for good. I have since logged on to Myspace once or twice, if that. Here is why I love Facebook.

First off, the wall. Myspace had a comment box on your profile, but other than that, inbox to inbox messaging was the only other way of communication. The wall is a genius way to allow communication between people. You can have a conversation that other people can see and comment on. It is great. If you don’t want everyone to see what you are talking about, you can just go write their inbox. It is so easy to contact people on Facebook.

Another great feature of Facebook is friend finder. Connecting with people has never been easier. It automatically looks at your friends list and those friend’s friends lists and finds people that you might know. For me 8 times out of 10, I do know them and add them. This is an awesome feature.

Facebook is simply easy to use. Unlike Myspace, you don’t have to deal with background codes and adding music to your page. You just deal with what matters, and that is the people. Facebook constantly updates the interface, making it easier and easier to use.

While Facebook is just awesome, it does have its downfalls. For me, I really liked the ability to choose a background theme on Myspace. This is something that Facebook does not offer. I can live without the music on your profile page, but I enjoyed the backgrounds. I also don’t like how people post things from applications on your wall. This isn’t Facebook’s fault, but it is just annoying. Other than that, I don’t have any complaints about Facebook.

Looking into the future, my friends are starting to talk about Twitter, but I, as of now, am not a member of Twitter. I don’t like it right now, but I didn’t like Facebook until i tried it. Who knows, maybe I will give up on Facebook for Twitter one day.

Now, the conclusion. I love Facebook. It is a great social networking site that is so easy to use, and it has very few drawbacks. I love it and highly recommend it to everyone. Compared to Myspace, it is much better. I cannot compare it to Twitter yet, but from what I have seen, I still like Facebook.
