The first thing you need to do is to get together with your doctor and talk over the best way to start your new exercise program, they will be able to get you the best info on your current health and what changes if any, you will have to make before you start, they will also be able to tell you what type of exercise is best for you.

You are going to have to start of slow, don’t jump into the vigorous exercises and don’t try to go an hour at a time, start off with an easy routine and do it for about ten minutes then work your way up, the more you do it the easier it will get. Try to increase the intensity of your exercise on one day a week. Do your walking, rowing, cycling, running or whatever you have chosen as your sport at a slow pace to warm up, If you start off too fast and try to go to long, you will be more likely to stop your program before you even get started.

Try and consult a nutrition expert, they can draw out for you and show you how to make good choices in the food you buy, some of these can be difficult to figure out, so it is good to have a professional guide you through.

If you go to a gym sign up with a personal trainer there, they will get you started off right and with the right program this will help get you motivated.

Try to get a friend in on it with you, you will stay motivated a lot easier if you have someone to work out together with and it will make it more fun.
