Have you ever felt sorrow, depressed, or Suicidal? Ever felt that no one cared or understood?
Let me first say that I have been there too. I have been to the deep end believing that there was no longer hope or reason to continue on, until I found this organization just by searching the web.
Perhaps you are one of those who say, “No, not for me.”
But yes, even there is hope for you.
There is hope, there is rescue, and love is the movement.
Today there is a magnificent organization called To Write Love On Her Arms.
They sell shirts mainly with their sayings such as, “To Write Love On Her Arms” and “Love is the movement” for people to wear to show their support for this organization. Also, motivational speakers go around talking about the story of To Write Love On Her Arms.
To write love on her arms all got started with one girl who knew pain, self harmed, and attempted suicide. Those who eventually brought the organization to life were there to help her to heal, and to write love on her arms.
We all know that life is not perfect. At one point we all become vulnerable, and we all go through pain at some point in our life, but it is best to remember that there is love and there is hope.
One important thing To Write Love On Her Arms brings into view is learning what it means to love people who are hurting. What does that exactly mean to you? Have you ever loved someone who was hurting so badly they turned to a knife, or a drug, or alcohol? Love is a choice, as well as an action, and it is not something to take lightly. Love can save a life, I know it has for me.
In the Bible love is explained just as To Write Love On Her Arms would explain to the hurting. 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
That verse lives up to To Write Love On Her Arms’ purpose exactly.
Now, I believe in To Write Love On Her Arms whole heartedly. We can be helped, and like I said before there is hope. We need people in our life, we all need love. We are given a purpose on this earth and we are here alive, to love someone.
Learning to love others begins with loving ones self. Remember, love presents hope to the hopeless
So who will you love today?
