The structure, erected in 1989 on Science Park Drive, as part of the City of Beachwood’s latest wave of office building expansion, contains over 88,500 square feet of building area.
Building amenities include its roundabout central building entrance and drop-off/pick-up area, both surface and underground heated parking, and a 36-seat amphitheater. One Corporate Exchange has relatively convenient access to Cleveland’s perimeter beltway, Interstate 271, via Science Park Drive and Chagrin Boulevard. Within the immediate vicinity are hotels, restaurants, retail centers and a number of other significant contemporary corporate and for-lease office developments.
The entire Science Park area was first envisioned in the late 1970s and early 1980s by local landowner Frank Porter, Sr., as a cluster o high-end auto dealerships feeding off the significant traffic volumes of Interstate 271 and Chagrin Boulevard. Due to increased pressure and action by the City of Beachwood, however, Mr. Porter’s dream soon morphed into a hybrid office/tech development park.
That park was then master-planned by The Architect’s Collaborative (TAC) of Cambridge, MA; the firm also went on to design Enterprise Place, the first structure of the new park, immediate to the I-271/Chagrin interchange. Enterprise Parkway was extended north from Enterprise Place and Chagrin Boulevard to form the central spine of Science Park
Successive structures have since been built flanking both Enterprise Parkway and Science Park Drive to fill out this large concentration of high-end office facilities. One Corporate Exchange is currently managed by The King Group.
