Cookie crisp

I was more than sceptical when I first heard about this cereal, a cereal that tastes like cookies? A friend recommended it to me, saying that her 5 year old son loved Cookie Crisp.

The nutrition.
173 calories per 30g with 125ml semi skimmed milk. That’s not bad, until you realise that there is 16.5g of sugar in the same amount!
The cereal also contains a wealth of vitamins including B1 B2 B6 B12 C, Niacin, Folic acid, pantothenic acid, calcium and iron.

The taste.
The important bit, whilst they do not taste exactly like cookies, they are sweet and chocolaty. They are crisp and quite light and have teeny tiny chocolate chips in them.
They make the milk go a little bit chocolaty and they don’t go soggy for quite a long time.

I tend to eat them dry, from the box or a food bag as a snack; they are a bit healthier than a chocolate bar. The only trouble is they are quite light and don’t fill you up very easily, so before you know it, you have eaten the whole box!

The fact that they are made with wholegrain was just an added bonus to me.
