The US Soccer team entering the Fifa World Cup 2010 was chosen from players all around the nation playing in ASL American Soccer League, 23 players joined the team on route to the Golden Trophee at the end of a long awaited battle. The tournament will offer young and upcoming new players in the USA to portrait themselves at a world stage.
Team America entered the group stage of the tournamenet in Group C, with opponents as England, Algeria, and Slovenia.

The Group stage first match against England ended after 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw. The only goal of the game was scored by Clint Dempsey.
The second game the team really came alive however also this game ended in a draw, with a score on the scoreboard of 2-2. The scoring balls for Team US were delivered by Landon Donovan and Michael Bradley
The third game of the group stages was the first win for Team America at the Fifa World Cup 2010 in South Africa, The winning blow came of the boot of Landon Donovan in almost the very last minute of the game.
Team US shows a real team spirit, no individualism, but one team one nation going after the ultimate price.

In an interview with CNN US team goal keeper Tim Howard, tells that the team is in great spirits to enter the knock-out stage of the tournament. Bob Bradley did an awesome job to lead his young team through the opening stages of the tournament.
On 25 June 2010 Team US plays Ghana in the city of Rustenburg. Winning this game could bring the USA for the very first time in the quarter finals of the World Cup of football.
