If you love dogs then this Monday and Tuesday February 9-10, 2009, there will be a 2009 dog show at the Madison Square Garden Center in New York. It’ll be between 7th to 8th ave. and 31st to 33rd st. The show hours are from 8am to 11pm ET for each day of the show.
You can purchase reserved seats at ticketmaster. The tickets will allow you to have access to the bench area. The price is $130 inclusive of all fees. They do have single day ticket for $60. They also have general ticket at $40 per day or $75 for two days. Children ticket up to age 12 is $20 per day. They do offer wheelchair seats, companion seats, aisle seats and assistive listening devices.
The show will be on TV too and you can catch it live on Monday, Feb. 9 from 8-9pm ET on USA Network and then from 9-11 pm on CNBC. On Tuesday, the show will be from 8-11pm live ET on USA Network. The website said that you need to spend at least $30 on parking for each day. They do have plenty of parking from 31st to 8th ave. You can also park valet if you’re in a hurry at the garage. You can begin to see the show at 8am. They said that you should arrive early to avoid long lines and if you arrive after 10am you will have to wait for half an hour at least just to get in the garden. They suggest that you bring binocular since it can be hard to see with so many people in front of you.
They do have fast food at the garden for you to purchase. They suggest that you ask for permission before touching their dog. Celebrities like Martha Stewart, Bill Cosby, Joan Rivers, Greg Louganis, Joe Garagiola will be there for you to see. You can be prepared for the weather and it can get hot on the floor so dress accordingly. You should save your stub so you don’t get denial from entry.
