The main sources of proteins are milk, eggs, meat, pulses etc. Twenty-two types of amino acids contain proteins. Some of the amino acids are produced in the body.
Vitamins: These are a small but necessary part of diet. A vitamin is an organic compound required as a nutrient in tiny amounts by an organism. Vitamins are substances that your body needs to grow and develop normally. There are 13 vitamins your body needs. They are vitamins A, C, D, E, K and the B vitamins etc.

Minerals: A mineral is a solid inorganic element or compound occurring in nature. They are essential for maintaining optimal health. A mineral is a naturally occurring solid chemical substance that is formed through geological processes and that has a characteristic chemical composition, a highly ordered atomic structure, and specific physical properties.
Minerals play a very important role in the complex processes going on in the body. About 20 to 30 gm of mineral salts are excreted daily from the body though urine. This must be replaced daily through our diets
