Everyone should watch out for the scams that people try to accomplish. Some common scams are listed below.

1: FAKE WEBISTES

Fake websites, such as the ones which say everything that you dream for in runescape such as free gold, free items, free membership etc. These websites contain virus, also known as key loggers. These key loggers can get installed to your computer and steal your private information including your runescape password. So it is recommended that you stay away from websites which can be potentially harmful.

2: DO NOT ENTER YOUR RUNSCAPE PASSWORD IN ANY OTHER SITE OTHER THAN THE OFFICIAL RUNESCAPE SITE.

This is a mistake many people make. I’ll make it simple, never use your runescape details in another site even if they claim to give you runescape benefits such as free gold or free items. These websites are designed to persuade people to use their runescape details, which eventually steal their runescape password.

3: DO NOT USE PUBLIC COMPUTERS EVEN YOUR FRIENDS COMPUTER

Using your runescape details in public computer is also a risk. Hundreds of people use public computers. Some even plant key loggers. Some people might be wondering that public computers are safe as they have been using them for a while now, but there is still risk involved. One incident that happened to me was that after using my friend’s computer to input my runescape details I realised that my friend’s computer contained many virus and other harmful software. But I did not know about this because it is not my computer. So it is recommended that you do not use your runescape details on public computer and on your friend’s computer unless you know your friend has up to date antivirus software.

Many people have lost their Runescape accounts due to various reasons. The above points are to protect you from potential threats to your runescape account. Remember not to give anyone your runescape details even if the benefits exceed the positives. Thanks for reading.
