I love chocolate cake and can eat it as a meal at any meal. I know its hard to kick off the chocolate addiction. I’ve tried repeatedly and failed. So then when my friend sent me this email with a recipe for chocolate cake in a mug, it was bound to sabotage my diet plans for the weekend. It was so easy and so good, I had to share it with all of you. So what if we all gain a few extra pounds along the way. Check out the recipe below.
Ingredients needed –
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on High.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. Serve with whipped cream.
(Or if you prefer just take a spoon and dig into the mug directly. That’s what I did.)
