How to Make Coconut Chocolate Dipped Snowballs

Ingredients and Things Needed:

1/3 cup of soften butter

2/3 cup of brown sugar

½ teaspoon of baking soda

1 teaspoon of salt

1 whole egg

½ tablespoon of vanilla

1 and half cup of flour

4 ounces of finely grated baking chocolate

12 ounces of bitter sweet chocolate

½ cup of shredded coconut

2 cups of toasted finely shredded coconut

½ cup of finely chopped pecans

Fork

 Electric mixer

Spoon

Ungreased cookie sheet

The chocolate dipped coconut snowballs are delicious and fun to make especially during the holiday seasons and the recipe is not too hard to follow and it is fun to make because it gets you into the holiday spirit as well as you can have others participate in the fun of the recipe.

The snowballs once they are finished can be served as dessert and since they are small in size one snowball will not damage anyone’s diet.

Preheat the oven at 350 Fahrenheit degrees

Put soften butter, the brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl and beat to combine for two minutes.

Add the whole egg and vanilla and beat for two minutes to combine the mix.

Add flour gradually and beat (when the mixture becomes too thick for the electric mixture, stir in remaining flour with a spoon)

Add the finely grated sweet chocolate and half a cup of shredded coconut and pecans.

Shape dough into one inch balls

Place balls two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet

Bake 10 minutes or until edges are browned and then remove and let it cool

Melt the bittersweet chocolate and shortening in a saucepan over low heat

Stir until smooth for about two minutes

Dip cooled cookies in melted chocolate

Allow excess to drip off

Transfer to a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper

Sprinkle with toasted coconut

Chill about 1 hour until firm
