Pepsi is a carbonated soda drink that has been around for over 120 years. Did you know that back in the 1930’s a bottle of Pepsi could be purchased for as little as 10 cents? Currently Pepsi owns a lot of different types of products such as 7-up, Lays chips, and Gatorade.
Pepsi is very well known for having new and catchy slogans. The 2010 current slogan is “every Pepsi refreshes the world”. Another way that Pepsi makes its mark is by having some of the best commercials featuring celebrities such as Justin Timberlake and Michael Alexander.
Pepsi is not the only drink of its kind as it has a huge rivalry with Coca Cola Inc. Pepsi is know very well for doing the Pepsi taste test, in this test they blind fold the contestants and get them to try a sip of each beverage and decide which one of them they would prefer to drink.
In the Japanese branch they actually developed a mascot that goes by the name of Pepsi man. This special mascot appeared in a few video games and is a big part of Pepsi’s success in Japan.
The ingredients that are in Pepsi are not all that nutritionally beneficial. The ingredients are 41 grams of carbohydrates, phosphoric acid, and 38 mg of caffeine, high fructose corn syrup and citric acid. All of these ingredients add up to 150 calories. It is a good way to keep you going in the middle of the day.
