Marriage is a wonderful thing, if you have the right spouse. So many times we make bad mistakes in choosing a life partner. What may look and feel wonderful while dating, can change the second you say “I Do.”
I have learned so much from my first marriage, for instance, when I was about to walk down the isle, I was asking myself, “What am I doing?” That was a bad sign. I should have listened to myself, and ran. That marriage ended up a disaster. I was abused and miserable, and really thought I had to stay ‘until death do us part.’
That is so untrue. Some marriages just don’t work out the way we planned. People change, grow apart or just fall out of love. It happens.
When I got married the second time, I had decided if I had that feeling again, I would listen. I walked down the isle with no doubts. It’s been almost five years now, and even though we have our moments of disagreement, who doesn’t, we are strong and happy.
Will we be together ‘until death do us part?’ I certainly hope so.
It’s all about marrying the right person, and each doing your part.
