GMC will not be running the Yukon ad, but Toyota, Hyundai and Audi will keep showing their auto ads.
FedEx is not placing an ad this year either. It is nice to see that they are cutting back on advertising costs. FedEx reduced employee pay by 5% this year rather than layoff workers. Some high end executives pay was cut as much as 16%.
The cost of a 30 second spot ad is $30,000,000. That works out to $100,000 per second!
You will see many beverage ads. Budweiser is big as usual. You will also see SoBe, Coke, Gatorade, and Amp.
Monster and Career Builder are both placing spots as well. Movies will be big with ads from Universal Studios and Walt Disney.
Sign of the Times
The sign of the times this year is the Cash4Gold ad that you will see. Thank goodness the banks weren’t dumb enough to try to get in on the action!
