In a large bowl, beat the eggs using an electric beater if possible. If not, then a whisk or a fork will do. If your not using an electric beater then make sure that you beat the eggs well to prevent lumps.
Gradually add the milk and sugar and keep beating until the texture is somewhat thicker.
Add in the vanilla and the ground nutmeg. Beat some more so that everything is thoroughly mixed, then cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled. This should take approximately 3-4 hours. Your very own eggnog is ready to drink! This recipe serves 4.
