Mariana Bridi who is a Brazilian model died from a UTI infection and her extremities were also amputated. Doctors couldn’t save her from the bacterial infection that is drug resistance. Doctors tried to save her by amputating her extremities so that the bacteria would not be traveling around as much but it didn’t save her. She’s a gorgeous model with many accomplishments. She began modeling at the age of 14. In 2007 and 2008, she was a finalist for the Brazilian stage for the Miss World Pageant at age 18. Bridi’s parents are relying on God to grief over her loss. She was hoping to rescue her family out of poverty by her modeling career.
The father is a taxi driver and her mother is a house cleaner. She was going to participate in a competition in Sao Paulo by Dilson Stein according to her website. She finished fourth in a Face of the Universe competition in South Africa. The Miss World Brazil organization stated that she was a person who knew how to live her life intensely. She came down with the illness in late December and her native doctor diagnosed her as having kidney stones. She was in a hospital on January 3 for septic shock, life-threatening low blood pressure from the UTI infection. Doctors then amputated her extremities and just infused her with medication but she resisted the latest and potent ones. The bacteria was Pseudomonas aeruginosa which is known for its drug resistant effect. The bacteria have caused some death before but only about 10 percent of the time.
