Mykonos – Greece :For A Lively Break

Kalkan, Turkey: For Sun Seekers And History Fans


In the Turkish resort of Kalkan, glorious sunshine lasts well into October, while the surrounding coastline has a mix of golden sand and pebble beaches with long, open stretches and smaller bays. The water is clean and clear, with a mixture of rolling waves and calm seas. The cobbled streets which go down to the harbour are surrounded with lively restaurants and bars, but the mountains around the bay make Kalkan more dramatic.

Don’t miss a boat trip which stops at bays and islands so you can swim in the warm sea. Or you can take a boat trip to the city of Kekova, as well as a tour of the town of Kas to the Greek Island of Meis.

You can also visit the river of Dalyan to see the rock foundations of the Caunos tombs. Visit the mud baths and thermal spring for some pampering.
