Everyone faces problems on a daily basis. Some problems are small and easy to handle while others are a greater challenge. Studying psychology and obtaining a better knowledge of how the mind works can help us handle our problems. You can make a list to better help you understand yourself and what your own personal problems happen to be.
There are several different types of problems that you can include in your list. Write down problems that have to do with your home life and problems with your school or your career. Include problems that have to do with other people, including the inability to get along with certain people in your life. Write down problems that have to do with your social life and problems with mental health or physical health.
Write down your feelings that have to do with each problem on your list. Maybe you can’t get along with your parents and that makes you angry. You might feel frustrated at school. Having an inability to get along with people might leave you feeling lonely. You may feel hopeless if you aren’t becoming successful in your career.
As you are studying psychology and coming to better understand how your mind works, you can look back on your list and use it as a reference tool. When you find things in psychology that are along the lines of your personal problems, then you will be able to apply your findings to your own situations and have a better knowledge of how to handle each of your problems.
