Windows 7 Ultimate Is Not Backwards Compatible With Older Video Cards

I have a built-system that my friend made for me. I have a 19″ Gateway monitor, an older motherboard, and Intel 845G video card. I installed 2 GB of memory. Yes, I know I am probably over-clocking my system (It’s still slow than a turtle). And I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my Desktop, which was previously XP Pro. My video card driver is only Standard VGA because it does not support Windows 7. Rather than purchase a new video card, or a new system, I want Microsoft to write a patch so that I can fully utilize my Intel 845G video card and not have to deal with the Standard VGA settings, which really suck!

So, I am publishing this article for all of the techs who haven’t ran into this issue yet. But, if you do a search online, you will see other users that are experiencing a similar situation. I’m wondering when Microsoft will release a patch or an update to correct this issue???

By the way, I’ve copied this information twice because of the fact that I have to have 250 words in order to publish this document. How crazy.
