Chinese New Year parade in New York 2009

There will be a spectacular Chinese New Year parade in New York this coming month of 2009. They have the date as January 26, 2009 at 1pm but it’s not confirmed yet. They are having the parade at the Flushing library. The parade begins at Main St at 37th ave. and to Main St. it continues to Korea Village. You can expect the celebration to be at the Flushing Library where you will get to the show and buy the great food.

There will be VIPs giving speech, and many performances by dancer, singer, and fireworks. It seems like the celebration will continue until February and the location is held at the Flushing Mall and Korean Village all throughout the New Year. You can expect to find the festival here. You can be prepare for busy parking lots and just arrive early so you can find proper parking lot. You’ll want to bring cameras and camcorder to record the special event.
