How to Make Catfish with a Raspberry Chipotle Sauce

Two catfish fillet (two portions, each fillet is one serving)

One teaspoon of butter

Vegetable oil


Bread crumbs

One egg

Homemade Raspberry Chipotle Sauce

This recipe makes for two servings, so one catfish fillet per person and it gives the fish a great taste. The catfish gets its name because of their prominent barbells which resemble the whiskers of a cat.

First make the homemade raspberry chipotle sauce: You can make the raspberry chipotle sauce right at home and the homemade on will taste better and fresher, this recipe is a little time consuming but the sauce can be used over meats, chickens , fish and even salads.


Then place two tablespoons of vegetable oil and a teaspoon of butter in a skillet (or a frying pan) and heat on low  until it is very hot but not smoking hot, and your catfish fillet set aside (already defrosted)

Then in a bowl beat the egg with bread crumbs and half a tablespoon of flour and rub the fish fillets with the mixture. And before adding the fish to the pan rub it on both sides with the raspberry chipotle sauce.

Now add the catfish fillet to the skillet (or a frying pan) and cook for two minutes before adding more of the homemade raspberry chipotle sauce, then cook the fish for seven minutes on both sides until it gets tender.

Turn off the heat and serve to your guests.
