How to Make Pasta with an Avocado Sauce
Ingredients needed to make pasta with an avocado sauce
One pack of penne pasta
Three ounces of Speck
One cup of cooking cream
Three tablespoons of parmesan cheese
Two tablespoons of olive oil
A pinch of salt and pepper
This is a simple recipe which gives a kick to a normal pasta dish, the best pasta to use for this recipe is the penne pasta but you can also opt for any other short pasta such as rigatoni or even macaroni or bow tie.
First cut the speck into thin slices and let it stand aside in a plate.
Peel the avocado and take out the seed, then slice half of the avocado into small cubes and make a pulp of the rest.
In a skillet sauté the olive oil on low heat for a minute or so then add the slices of speck and turn the heat up to medium and cook for three minutes, then add the avocado pulp, the cooking cream and the grated parmesan cheese. Mix all the ingredients well and then let it rest for a minute and stir again.
At this point start cooking your pasta in boiling water according to package directions which will be between eight to ten minutes.
When the sauce on the skillet is well mixed add the avocado cubes and add a pinch of salt and ground pepper and add the drained pasta to it before serving to your guests.
