How to Make Homemade Lasagna

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package lasagna noodles
  • 2 jars of marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella shredded
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • fresh garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup diced yellow onions
  • Italian seasoning
  • Red Pepper flakes
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup red wine

Step1 Brown the ground beef in a wok along with a a 1/2tsp olive oil, a few diced garlic cloves, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and the chopped yellow onions.
Step2 Once the meat is browned add a 1/4 cup of marinara sauce and the 1/2 cup of red wine. This gives the meat layer a good moist texture.
Step3 Cook the Lasagna noodles as instructed on the box.
Step4 While the Lasagna noodles are boiling, brush a table spoon of extra virgin olive oil onto a large glass baking dish. This oil will prevent the Lasagna from sticking to the bottom of the glass dish.
Step5 The first layer of the lasagna should be a thin layer of marinara sauce.
Step6 Second add your first layer of cooked lasagna noodles.
Step7 Now add a layer of the browned meat and wine sauce.
Step8 On top of the browned meat, add a layer of marinara sauce.
Step9 The last layer to be added before starting over again is the cheese layer.
Start with the Ricotta cheese, then the mozzarella, and finally the Parmesan cheese.
Step10 Repeat these layers until you run out of ingredients or dish space.
Your last layer should be the cheeses. Sprinkle all the remaining cheese, and a dash of Italian seasoning to complete the setup.
Step11 Bake uncovered in the oven at 375*F for approximately 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbly. It is all a matter of personal preference because the meat and noodles have already been fully cooked, the oven is meant to melt the cheeses and heat the entire casseroles many layers.
