TIPS for a BOUNCY HEALTHY HAIR

There is nothing like a head of soft, fluffy healthy hair that looks thick and full of body. Hair like that always catches the eye. Thin and lifeless hair that lies flat against the scalp rarely if ever looks flattering. Having a beautiful head of healthy hair can make you stand out in the crowd. Follow these simple steps …sure to have heads turn when you enter a room.

Keep your hair clean…wash every day on hot summer days or every other day in the winter months. This is very important for beautiful bouncy healthy hair.

Use a shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair type. Read labels carefully to decide if you want a shampoo that clarifies hair, adds volume to hair, or preserves hair color.

OILY HAIR

For healthy hair, if you have oily hair make sure to buy a shampoo that does not contain any oils…make sure to use a shampoo specifically for oily hair. Try to wash hair every day.

Never put conditioner on your scalp to mid hair…only use conditioner towards end of hair.

DRY BRITTLE HAIR

Healthy hair…there are many home remedies you can do at home for dry brittle hair.

One in particular is …avocado with olive oil; Take half of avocado and 2 tsp of olive oil and mix together into a paste is created. Then add to hair like if it was a conditioner. Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Then, wash and rinse with your regular shampoo. Your hair will be bouncy and healthy.

You could also use mayonnaise; take about 2 to 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise massage through hair. Cover hair with a plastic hair cap. Leave on for 30 minutes and then rinse with your shampoo. This will give you a healthy bouncy hair.

ALL HAIR TYPES

Use clarifying shampoos once a week or you could just add a tsp. of baking soda to your regular shampoo mix it in a small cup and use it that day. This will make your hair shinier and healthy.

Always, blot your hair with the towel and let air dry. If you have very long hair don’t try to comb your hair while it’s soaking wet, it’s better to let it get at least half way dry so you don’t cause split ends when combing it.

Volume sprays, mousse and lotions applied to the hair while styling also adds volume to your hair.

Another thing you can try to increase the volume of your hair is tipping your head down and brushing your hair from the back. You can also do your hair up in curlers for beautiful volume curls.

2. Also, be aware that coloring your hair may dry it out. The use of blow dryers, curling irons, and straight irons may also damage your hair.

So, put on a deep conditioning treatment once a week or once a month for healthy bouncy hair. I like to use VO5 Hot hair treatment… this will keep your hair looking shiny, healthy and full of body.

3. Have your hair trimmed every three months. This will help cut down on split ends and uneven hair and your hair will look healthy.
