Poem – Metamorphosis

Silently a voice whispered simply

               “Carpe diem”

As my bruises entered my inner body

My blood all spilled at the sight,

Of one so broken, so torn

Scattered thoughts bring me to some sort of epiphany

I need to live for myself alone

Maybe my eyes shouldn’t adjust to you

Maybe my eyes should abandon you

But averting my direction chills me

Who is the sad soul now?

Who is the life gone wrong?

Who is building?

Who is taring down?

The ciggartte smoke you blow in my face,

Just impairs my judgement

And your childish ways drive me…

Far away

To a place where I will live and die

To a place where I am challenged to define myself

Maybe you where just a shadow to hide behind

To feel like I was a person

Before so hollow, Now so full

Maybe my eyes shouldn’t adjust to you

Maybe my eyes should abandon you

But averting my direction chills me

Who is the sad soul now?

Who is the life gone wrong?

Who is building?

Who is taring down?

Now I find myself lost

You where my corruption

My slow burning demise

Now I faulter on the slightest of things

My feet never stable

My hands never steady

This is who I am now

I cower, I hide

When before I’d be the first person in your face

The ramblings of a head in torture

It ended as all things do

Why is tragedy so full of sorrow?

Scattered thoughts of a desperate soul

The scribblings of one so lost

Silently a voice whispered simply

                       “Carpe diem”
