Make a Clone “From Scratch” Cake

You will need:

*  Boxed white cake mix
*  1 1/4 Cups of milk
*  4 Egg whites
*  1 stick of butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a mixing bowl add slightly melted butter that is a soft consistency not totally melted.

Add boxed white boxed cake mix to the mixing bowl.

Stir milk into the mixture.  Whole milk works best.

Add egg whites into the mixture and mix well.

Stir all of the ingredients together.  Make sure that the mixture is free of lumps.

Spray 13×9 baking sheet with non stick cooking spray and fill a little over half way with the batter.  There may be a little batter left over.  Use it to make cupcakes.

Bake cake for 25 minutes.

Remove cake from oven.  Cool for 30 minutes then put into freezer.  Freeze for 2 hours, but overnight works best.  Remove cake.  Add icing of your choosing.

***You can also use yellow cake mix and not remove the yokes.
