The pasta salmon in creamed sauce is a great recipe for a wok menu; it contains a lot of vegetables and is well suited for people who are partly vegetarians but eat fish. It is also a very easy meal to prepare and is a recommended dish if you need to add more calcium to your diet. The nutrition is divided on 57% carbohydrates, 23% on proteins and 20% on fat, compromising the rule of it is unhealthy with an intake above 30% of fat each day. This recipe takes approximately 25 minutes to cook including preparations.
Pasta salmon in creamed sauce (4 persons)
- 400 grams of full grained pasta penne.
- 300 grams of salmon.
- 400 grams of broccoli.
- 200 grams of carrots.
- 2-3 spoons of olive oil.
- 2 medium sized onions.
- 125 grams of full fat cream cheese with herbs.
Before you start preparing this recipe, make sure all food is defrosted if it has been kept in the freezer.
Cut out the broccoli into small flower bouquets. Peel the carrots and cut them out into 3 centimeter long pieces and divide them into halves or quarters.
Take a big pot with water and add in the carrots and get the water to boil. When the water is boiling add in the pasta and thereafter the broccoli. Let it boil for approximately 10 minutes depending on the time the pasta needs. When the pasta has finished boiling keep 2 deciliters of water for later purpose.
During the time that the water is boiling you should cut out the onions into smaller pieces depending on your preference. Also cut out the salmon into long thin slices.
Heat up the olive oil in a wok and add the onions and fry them until they turn golden in the color. Add the salmon slices; fry the salmon until the color turns light pink/beige. Add the 2 deciliters of water which you kept from boiling the pasta and vegetables, together with the water you add the 125grams of full fat cream cheese with herbs. Stir in the wok until the full fat cream cheese have melted and turned into a sauce alike substance, then you add the pasta, broccoli and carrots and let it boil for 2minutes. Now the meal is ready to be served on 4 plates.
