How to avoid being a victim of carjacking

The recession has caused crime to increase drastically . Stealing from others seems to be the only way out for some.
Car jacking is no stranger to us. Since it is a growing problem in cities around the world. No one wants to be a victim of any crime ,especially car jacking. It would be helpful to helpful to know what to do if you are ever become a victim of car jacking. The most important thing to know is ways to minimize the risk of ever becoming a victim of such a crime..

  1. Step 1

    If you are driving in an area where carjack have occurred , keep your car doors locked and windows closed.

  2. Step 2

    When slowing down to stop at an intersection, be alert for suspicious looking people loitering on either side of the road.

  3. Step 3

    If a car bumps into the rear of your car , be cautious about getting out to inspect the damage. It might be a trick in order to get you out of your car. If an incident like this happens in a high risk area , it would be safer to drive to the nearest policy station.

  4. Step 4

    Be alert for strangers loitering near the entrance of your home. If you notice this it would be safer for you to drive away instead of getting out and confronting strangers. Or call your local police so that they can investigate the situation. Better safe than sorry.

  5. Step 5

    If you ever have to wait in a parked car in a high risk area where there are few people within your sight. Constantly be aware of everything happening in front and in the back of you. There could be a distraction in front of you so that you won’t notice who is approaching you from the back. If you are in this situation it would be safe to ride around the block.
