If you like chocolate, caramel, and peanuts, you’ll like Snicker Box Cookie Bars. Try it for your next gathering. I am putting up recipes from my vast collection that are unusual, hard to find, or are just different in case any searchers are looking for hard to find recipes they remember from childhood that are lost. So far, the recipes I’m putting up are getting lots of views, so I will keep going at it. This recipe looks great to serve to guests or anytime the kids are hungry! Have fun and Happy Cooking!
- Step 1
Unwrap 1 bag of Kraft Caramels.
- Step 2
Place the caramels and 1/3 C Milnot (or Pet) canned Milk in a microwave proof bowl to melt and mix every 1 minute until all the caramels are melted and the caramel sauce is smooth and creamy. You could do this on the stove over VERY low heat. Don’t let it burn. Set this aside until ready for it.
- Step 3
In a mixing bowl, mix together 1 box dry Chocolate Cake mix, 1 1/2 sticks melted butter, and 1/3 C Milnot (or Pet) canned milk. Mix well. Batter will be very thick.

Put HALF of the cake batter into a greased 9 X 13 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes.

When you take it out of the oven, IMMEDIATELY sprinkle on: 1 C salted peanuts (no skins), and 1 C chocolate chips over the top. Drizzle melted caramel over the peanuts and chips.

Then drop by spoonfuls the rest of the batter all over the melted caramel, peanuts, and chocolate chips. (Use wide spatula or rubber spatula for this part. It will also spread as it bakes again. Bake at 325 degrees for 18 minutes. Let cool before cutting.

This dessert will keep in the refrigerator with no change in taste for a week or more.
