Negotiate with Wedding Vendors to Get the Best Deals

The first thing is to take time to think, and don’t buy things on the fly because you might regret it later. Planning a wedding can me mesmerizing but don’t get too caught up in the excitement, try to take at least a day to think about the items you liked before you buy. If the next day you still feel that you have to have it… go ahead and buy. Also, we sometimes forget to get the opinion of our loved one so let him get involved… at least a little.

Second: Don’t give vendors the easy sale vibe. Don’t act too anxious and keep your cool. Vendors can take advantage of you if they feel you are an easy sale and they might throw things at you that you might not need, or really want. Don’t make it easy for them, make them work for your business.

Third: Don’t sign anything unless you have given yourself time to review it because vendors will lock you in a contract that might include charges you didn’t count on. Remember the more detailed the contract, the better. Also, don’t fall into the “this day only sale”… if it’s available today it will be available tomorrow.

Fourth: Don’t be afraid to ask for deals, specials, and extras. There’s nothing wrong with trying to get a good deal but if you don’t ask, you will not receive. The worst that could happen is they say “no.”

Fifth: Bring a good friend or family members to shop with you because they can help you with tough decisions. If your ne they can negotiate for you.
