Fruit cake

This recipe is very suitable for every day use. The fruit cake is very delicious but the most important thing about it probably is that this cake is very fresh. The time of preparation is about an hour and ten minutes. You can use the fruit cake as a dessert or for your tea and coffee parties.


150 gr sugar

4 eggs

1 package (about 125 gr butter)

1 ½ cup flour (about 450-500 gr)

9-10 table spoons milk

1 lemon peel (grated)

1-2 table spoons rum or cognac

3 table spoons raisins

1 table spoon crumbs

1 table spoon finely chopped orange peels with sugar

1 baking powder

3-4 table spoons sugar powder

Method of preparation:

First beat the eggs with the sugar and add the lemon peel to them. Then add the melted butter. By constant stirring continue to add step by step the flour mixed with the baking powder and the milk (1 table spoon flour, then stirring, 1 table spoon milk, stirring and so on). At the end add the raisins and the orange peels with sugar. Place the so prepared mixture into the baking pan with oil and sprinkled with crumbs on the bottom and bake for about 30 minutes in the oven (180-200`C). When the fruit cake is ready until it is warm, you have to sprinkle the sugar powder onto it. Serve with coffee or tea.Enjoy!
