Step1
Eating 5-7 portions of meals everyday actually helps your metabolism process faster. Since the body will store the left over food as fat, it is better to eat small portions in which the body can break up to use for energy. Don’t think that starving will help you lose weight. Your body will become confused, thinking you’re in starvation mode, and will slow down your metabolism.
Step2
Drink lots of water! Not only will water wash down toxins in your body, it will also help you maintain a much leaner body. Not enough fluids in sends a message to your body for more fluid retention. This results in unnecessary weight that is making you heavier than you really should be.
Step3
Never skip breakfast! Your body uses up the most energy in the morning since it needs to carry it all through the day, so make sure you always eat a hearty breakfast. You have the whole day to burn off the calories too.
Step4
Get physical! Most people seem to not get enough exercise. On average, a person should exercise for about 30 minutes 4 times a week. You can take yoga, dance classes, jogging with a bunch of friends every morning, whatever helps you stay motivated. It won’t be easy at first, so build up your routine and try to stay on track. It’ll pay off in the long run!
Step5
Last but not least, make sure that your body has the daily requirements of nutrition it needs. This means that 25% of your diet should consist of animal protein: turkey, egg, seafood. 50% should be comprised of fruits and vegetables: oranges, apples, broccoli, asparagus, etc. The rest should be beans, rice, bread, etc. Cut down on fatty foods , including pasta, white rice, dairy, and carbohydrates.
